Dayna and Vincent have been working together under Movementalist since 2009 They have created performances and set up national and international projects with which they create space, to continue developing as independent dance makers.

Researching their individual dance languages, they want to develop further, in addition to using techniques in the traditional sense, being human is standing central in their creations. Dayna's departure point are the traditional dances from Bolivia her native country. Vincent moves within his body language from Urban to Contemporary to Physical Theater. With their work they want to enter into a dialogue with the public without telling a story from A to Z.

The underlying themes of their performances are the tension between the individual and the group. The connection old culture - new culture, Identity, Ritual and Transformation. The dialogue with the performer is essential in the creation, just as in the performance the dialogue with the audience. The choreographers do not want to give answers, but want to ask questions. Preferably on different layers. Aesthetically, the public is confronted with different movement idioms. Not only with those of the choreographers themselves, but also of the performers. The art of dance is not so much found in the form or in the "technique as in a traditional sense", but the choreographers are looking for authenticity and a clear intention of a movement from the own body.

Dayna: "For me dance is a search, a ritual and transformation. Dancing is who I am, changeable and with two feet in the earth."

Vincent: "Dance and Theater is a necessity for creating free space in which you have current themes negotiable."
